Singapore Tyler Print Institute - Jane Lee

A series commissioned by Singapore Tyler Print Institute (STPI)

During the second half of 2015, we were commissioned to document the journey of Jane Lee, one of Singapore's most notable contemporary artist. Over the course of two residencies in STPI, we documented her exploration through new techniques and mediums to express her art.

Jane embarked on her residencies with an experimental approach and discovery of the world around her, creating a body of work that signals a departure from her abstract paintings as she explores the media of print and paper. Drawing inspiration from the lives of people around her, she uses visual metaphors of birds and nature, to explore the themes of entrapment and freedom.
